Cartoonist, Alison Bechdel, best known for her comic strip “Dykes To Watch Out For”, visits MiND studios to discuss her creative process. Alison shows us how she created her best selling graphic memoir, “Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic”. Writing and illustrating “Fun Home” took seven years, in part because of Alison’s laborious artistic process, which includes photographing herself in poses for each human figure. For more on Alison, check out “Reading from Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic” and “A Conversation with Alison Bechdel”.

I just read this for 21st Century Lit and it’s amazing! I couldn’t put it down. She’s incredibly talented, with both illustrating and writing – very articulate. It’s a gutsy memoir.
